Flash verses Video Light Panel

Hello Group,

I have never been a fan of using artificial light and have never owned a flash apart from the little fill flash

on top of my Sony.

I am now finding I may need a flash source to light faces in harsh light.

So what does everybody recommend cheap fill flash as this

Hey Peter,

Great question.

Sadly I don't have an answer ! Unlike you I have used fill flash for 95% of my shots (not landscape or similar) mainly portraits outside in the bright sun 

With the LED lights available I am pondering the idea of getting one but hard to change old habits and shell out more $$$ for a "hobby" that has cost me a the GDP of a small nation ! 

I guess like anything there are pluses & minuses to both forms.
