No but from uk driven in Europe 

I was in pattaya about 6 months ago coming for my second trip 

so I have seen the standard of driving

I,ve had a UK driving licence for over 40 years,driven in many countries but nothing prepared me for Thailands driving habits...started off 6 years ago here with a Wave (still use it around the city) and bought my first car 4 years ago for long distance driving down to a property I have in southern thailand 946 kms away......I rarely use my car round Patts as the traffic is usually a nightmare.....I would think twice to be quite honest,it,s not just the driving standards (or lack of) but the police here can be a nightmare to farangs also,especially to someone like yourself who is not "street wise"
