Hi!

 

I was wondering how long it will take the bus from Pattayas northern bus terminal to the first BTS-stop (Udomsuk BTS)? Depart at around 11am on monday.

 

At their homepage they write the passenger has to inform the bus driver if one wants to get off early - still true? (However, passenger must inform our driver before the bus departs from Pattaya)

So you want to leave the northern bus terminal on the bus towards Pattaya, but get off at Udom Suk BTS station? You would be much better off using the MRT or BTS. 

I know the bus FROM pattaya to ekkamai (eastern bus terminal) will drop you off at Udom Suk, you inform them when they are about to leave Pattaya, they will ask for a show of hands of who wants off where (Bang Na near Ikea, Udom Suk BTS, On Nut BTS), but you cannot have baggage underneath as they are not allowed to stop for long to access your baggage.

I made the bus trip from Pattaya to Eckami twice in the last month, It's about a 2 hour ride.

At the start of the bus trip a lady will ask in Thai who wants to get off at the 4 determined drop off points, either raise your hand or make sure she knows where you want to get off. 108 baht.
