I’ve done boat trips a few times with the company next the Riverside Bar and Restaurant. It’s like 45 minute ride up the river to a riverside home where drinks and fruit were served. Then a 45 minute ride back. I forget the pricing.

I have done Thaton to Chiang Rai 10 yrs ago. Was underwhelming. At that time not much nature left. Pricing was 600 baht after some discussion. 1000 was the norm I was lucky, only me as a customer, a rainy day and he wanted/needed to get back to CR anyhow. So I got a bargain (it seemed).
