Any current info on White Pines?

Hi all, I have been away from Pattaya for the past 6 months. I will be returning November 2nd. I used to really enjoy  White Pines for a quick, convenient meal before hitting Walking Street. The chicken Parm sandwich was always a favorite. Any word on the quality of the food nowadays? Thanks in advance.

Food still fairly decent, but higher prices than before. 

Recently I asked a WP waitress about a menu item. Her reply: "Same same picture, why you ask me?"

Maybe I caught her on a bad day, but haven't been back since.

I find that kind of funny. She's a waitress at a restaurant. It's not like you asked her about the stock market.

If you did ask her, she most likely would answer some time up, sometimes down, same same but different.

That is, if she knew what you were talking about.

I have previously pledged to not comment further on White Pines and I will not break that promise here.

I do have a question though. What initially made this place so popular (and I loved it) was the cook they had to start. When she left the downtrend began.

I have a friend who is planning to open a restaurant in Pattaya. Not a GF, but a friend of one who knows how to be fair with others. She may be looking for a good cook soon.

If someone knows how to contact the original cook, I would be interested.

With 'markets in turmoil' yet again, I might just do that. I doubt her market timing is any worse than mine.

Someone mentioned the cook moved to a place near pratumnak i seem to recall? might have been on the old white pines thread.

Have not heard anyone mention White Pines for some time, are they still open?

Just checked their facebook page, and there has not been a post made since May.

Apart from they seem to have a stall at this weekends Wonderfruit festival.

Yes it is still open. Food ist still good. I have been there 3 times in the last 2 weeks.
