Arrived DMK yesterday about 1:45 PM ( 13:45 ).   

First time into DMK since BKK opened .... Immigration was empty.  2 minutes and done.. got luggage , hit ATM , new SIM card ( been a year ) , taxi....out the door.

Taxi had 3000 km on odometer.  New and clean. Moderate traffic...was raining.... 250B to Soi Nana... 200+ 50 and 120B for tolls.... At my hotel by 2:45.... 

Maybe I was lucky.....

I think you were lucky.  Did you also get it for free last night ?

Nice start to your trip. Has taken me up to 90 minutes to get through DMK. I try never to go through there now.

Despite my handsomeness.... I rarely get it for free.... I did have a very nice ST though.

DMK is the most run down airport I have ever been and there is usually a traffic chaos before you actually be there. Gladly only once and I´m not looking forward to repeat. I was once going to HK and I thought my only option is Air Asia, but behold there is Hong Kong Airlines departing from BKK with 100% more service and 100% better planes and guess what... The price was the same, so always check your options from Swampy and if it's only a little bit more expensive, take it.
