The problem with the bike lanes around Silverlake is they don't clear lane of debris. There are sections that it's safer to ride in the road rather than in the designated bike lane.

Yes very true, routes look nice but i usually ride in the road rather than bike lane. Not only debris but surface is often not as smooth as the road
