Doha airport packed at 3.00 a.m. new years day

I suppose I can't complain at the transit time with Qatar Airways. £500 Heathrow-Bangkok, but a six hour wait in Doha, coffee 4 US$ a pop, does make you think.

Plane coming over was only 20% occupied, got wished happy new year by all the stewardesses at midnight and had some rather good chocolates dished out as well.

I'll arrive in Bangkok 18.30 tonight and I don't sleep when travelling, but when I get to Pattaya, a rest will be the very last thing on my mind.

Can't wait.

I hear you can pay something like the equivelant of £12 and go in an "executive type" lounge

Doha isnt thr nicest airport to have a 6 hour stopover

Didn't come across that offer - only first and business class get to use the VIP lounge.

Never mind - free wifi keeps me going on my shiny new Samsung Netbook. Only 102 minutes to wait.............
