Dear Hedonist!

I did not advice Mr x4p3gsu to book. I told him to look!

And yes you have to compare it with other prices and

so on.

And its not complete with a lot of the luxury hotels like the Oriental,

Conrad, Shangri-La etc.

Try www.agoda.com, I've gotten 4 and 5 star hotels for up to 50% off.

I wonder why all of the stated "deals" on here are, in fact MORE than the opening rate at the first look ?????

The taxes comes along in the end!

I never said ANYONE advised anyone else to do anything

I ASKED a general question to the other members......hence the series of question marks (???) at the end

Can someone give a definite answer whether a farang can check in with a Thai lady at the Bangkok Oriental or not?

I have heard many times, that they would refuse mixed couples.

That you cannot bring back a bird of the night from NEP is for sure and not the question.

But even legally married couples is denied entry there - that is what I have heard.

So if I book online a double and show up with my TGF - what is gonna happen?

Point is that I

a) wanna stay at the most exclusive place in BKK

b) wanna have a room with that beautiful riverview that the Oriental provides.

Any ideas / comments?

The difference between sex for money and sex for free is that sex for money usually costs a lot less.

Riverview? Try the Shangri-La in the Krung-Thep wing, its first class and moore luxury for the money I think.

4 or 500$ for the Oriental-shit:

I prefer the Conrad Executive lounge if I want luxury or Dynasty Grande if I want close to NANA. And these hotels I usually book directly with the hotel.

As Always

Check out the Banyan Tree in Bangkok.

First class hotel with a top restaurant providing astonishing views over Bangkok while having dinner.

Many times I checked-in with my TGF and never had any probs.

IMO if you want the best price, you've got to look at Tim's websites (O'tels and Thai hotel Discounts), then hotels Combined, then Expedia and Orbitz, finish off with a little Wotif. Prices are all over the place. If you like one hotel the best price could be direct. They don't usually put all those taxes and fees on top. wj

Hi,

I am planning to bring the wife to LOS and would like to find a good hotel discounter website - any recommended?

Thank you.

Try to look at Luxury Travel Bible and you can find all the hotels that are reviewed for and you can book any hotels you like.

Too late for Mr xp34whatever, but for discount luxury, look at Jetsetter and Sniqueaway. They each do maybe 10 hotels/week all over the world. I booked the Park Plaza for $60 total a month ago, Last week they had the Banyan Tree for $90 & Lebua for $80 a couple weeks ago. I've seen the Conrad for around $90 too. You've gotta join to see the deals though. wj
