Motorbike driver detained following discovery of aborted Fetus in plastic bag.

 

In the early hours of Friday Morning a team of Pattaya Police Volunteers were checking motorbikes in Soi Potisan in Naklua when they spotted a man driving a bike with a black plastic bag full of something in the front basket. Khun Sawaert aged 35 was stopped and the plastic bag was searched. Inside the bag was an aborted fetus and a blood-stained towel. It was determined that the fetus was in the 4th or 5th month of gestation when it was aborted. Khun Sawaert was arrested and taken to Pattaya Police Station where he explained that he was employed by a man known as “Khun Moo” to pick up the bag at a house in Soi 17, South Pattaya close to the Land Office. There, he met Khun Saranyar aged 28 who handed over the bag. Further investigations by Police determined that 8,000 Baht was paid to an illegal abortion clinic in Soi Potisan in Naklua by a pregnant Laos National. Medication was given to the woman, Miss Boonlai aged 22 and two days later she aborted the fetus. Her friend, Khun Saranyar arranged for the disposal of the baby. Police are investigating further before they press criminal charges relating to the case.
