1,000 Baht fake Bank Note alert.

There is some concern here in Thailand at the moment regarding circulation of fake 1,000 bank notes. Business owners are being urged to exercise extreme caution at this time when accepting 1,000 Baht bank notes. To find out more, we went to the Central Pattaya Road branch of the Kasikornbank and spoke with staff who confirmed that they had not received any of the fake notes as yet but were on full alert. We also spoke with local market vendors, some of which have their own unique methods of checking the notes to determine if they are fake or not. We suggest that all business owners consult their local banks to find out the correct way to check a bank note to avoid any potential problems in the future.
