What did I eat?

My friend and I were hungry after WS and he asked if I wanted a snack.  It looked like stripped bacon to me... dude deep fried it (I think).  It came out hot as fire, tried to not burn my gums and ate it.  Tasted like a piece of back bacon or some sort of cheap cut of ham.  I know it's Pork, but it didn't have that salty cured, smoked bacon I thought it was going to be.  Paid 50b for about 6 little strips in there.

I sure shit good this morning.  Feel pretty good, except for not being able to sleep, Jetlag gonna go for another couple days.  Thailand is +11 hours time difference for me.

So is the same cut like a hot dog back home, 'lips and assholes' of the pig... that's the joke anyway.

I think these are just strips of the shoulder pork that are marinated in spices, nothing sinister

Moo Daet Diaw or Sun Dried Pork.

Marinated Pork, hung out to dry in the Sun, then deep fried.

This is seriously good grub. I was hooked after trying this in patts on my maiden voyage. Add some sticky rice and it’s a staple.
