Emirates starting from Stansted UK from June 8

Featured Replies

I seemed to have missed this news but I've just noticed Emirates will be starting a London Stansted daily flight from 8th June.

Great news to those of us in eastern UK who find the Heathrow run bit of a chore.

21:10 departure time, 1 hr 35 mins stopover in Dubai for BKK, cheapest price on skyscanner for my next trip is £520 right now. Not bad!

Next trip Aug 31-Sep13, theme: try more freelancers, get dirty! Note to self: TAKE MORE PHOTOS!!!

Just what we need. More people from Essex in Pattaya! :WhoSaw1:

Interesting. Stanstead is building a whole new arrivals terminal right now, when it's finished it should attract more long hauls like this.

I remember when the place first opened, lovely building designed by Lord Foster....and completely empty for the first few years it operated.

Just a shame about the location unless you live near it and the "Stanstead Express" is a fucking joke.

So now the flights are up and running and has been for awhile, I was wondering on people's reviews on the service.
