Trip to Lampang

Has anyone any information on Lampang, having a few days there in August

not much happening in sleepy old lampang elephant hospital come  sanctuary good to look at maemot golf course great just a standard Thai provincial city  lived there for 10 years not much to blow your hair back

any bars or nightlife.

Head for Tipchang Road by the river.  A few beer bars/restaurants, but nothing naughty.  

Take a good book.

Back from my trip to Lampang. For 2/4 days it's good. Old world Thailand. Several museums and many temples. Stayed at Villa Rassada, comfortable  clean good value for money. We hired a car to get around.Saw plenty of horse carriages. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

it's always good to getaway from the rat race to unwind and do different things . there is so much more to see other than beer bars and go-go's .

i envy the people that have moved up country for good , i can understand their point of view
