Withdrawing cash from Kasikorn

I have a bank account with Kasikorn but on a previous trip I decided to stop the ATM card as it was costing me around 800baht/year and I only make 1 or 2 trips to Thailand a year. I then found that withdrawing cash using my passbook was a frustratingly slow process with queuing and showing ID and one is restricted to the bank's opening hours (derr).

I would prefer to stay with Kasikorn as since opening it I have heard that it is very difficult or close to impossible to open a bank account unless one is living there.

So what options do I have now - does Kasikorn offer a cheaper ATM card for tight arses like me?

I have a KB account with an ATM/Debit card that costs 200 baht a year. Ask for that 1.
