First time ko chang

One hung low

Recommended Posts

First off thanks to the BM s advice and replys I was looking for.

i made my first trip there in January, stayed at paddy palms on white sands beach.

great advice and location. Nice place pool etc, onsite scooter rental, no passport required.

really nice breakfast included. Toured the island on the scooter, no cops harassing people.

lots of nice restaurants and bars. Even a decent girlie bat scene on white sands.

overall a great getaway, and a lovely island, highly recommended and I will return for sure.

thanks for the guidance guys!

Thinking of giving it a go , but concerned about the weather ,

The mountains of Ko Chang are still covered with rain forest, so the weather tends to be a bit more unpredictable than Phuket where the forests have been cleared and coconut trees been planted instead..
During the rainy season expect one or two heavy downpours  everyday. They usually last 30-45 minutes. There are exeptions, of course, when you're trapped for hours. I visit Ko Chang for more than twenty years and it happened only one or two times.
Songkran in Pattaya is much worse.

I'm yet to see a happy Swede in Koh Chang  :D. Seems like you didn't do your homework, there are fantastic places to eat and if by ran down you mean there are no shopping malls, well...each to his own

Coincidentally will be there this weekend for the second time quite looking forward to it for a change. Last time stayed White Sands this time a bit further down the coast at an even quieter place ..

The performance levels of the girls far exceeds the quality of the bars!!! Wonderful fucks on Koh Chang.....

Any recommendations for "girlie bars" in the White Sands area?

This is couple years ago so may have changed.  Was a place on northern White sand - not too far north of their night market - on non-beach side of main road called Zip Bar.  Had to walk up one floor and was handful of decent looking girls who were available.  There one star there I believe may have started her own place somewhere even bit south of White Sands so maybe she took some of girls/business with her.  Am sure place on south White sands is still there as well.  Forget name, but collection of beer bar type places with plenty of girls; just need to pick carefully if you fussy.  Like anywhere else in Thailand, there girls all over that will fuck if you take them to any of the bars.  Seemed to be plenty of Cambodians there that ripe for the plucking as well.

the above poster is talking about Zap Bar. The bar  complex is south whitesands (mountain side). Beer bars in Chai chet, nothing in Klong Prao, some in kai bae walking st and a couple more dotted about on their own and a couple in lonely beach. Start north and head south. If the girls don't get customers they head south to lonely beach to party too

I went to princess bar twice this year . first time was crazy lots of young girls and they were very hyper we left quite late and rode past in morning and a few of the girls were still partying and dancing outside, heard later the boss was sortring them out with some happy powder, second time I went back a few weeks ago it had changed hands and a bit quieter and I saw as girl I know from the darkside working there she is on run from mafia, lol,  but I love the place , if you get a bike just go down any little side roads there`s tons to see, go over the quiet side of island and explore it`s awesome,  secluded beaches with crystal clear water ,bungalows on stilts in sea, just stunning, due back on 25th jan for 5 nights, sweeeeet
