I've looked through this section but I don't see any reference to my topic.

I have a Jamaican friend who wants to join me on a trip to SEA.  Fortunately (and to my surprise), there are a number of countries in SEA that grant visa-free entry to Jamaican citizens. Singapore and Vietnam both do, but Thailand does not.

Does anyone have any experience with how difficult such a visa would be for a Jamaican to obtain? Sadly, Jamaicans face a lot of prejudice in getting even a simple, short stay tourist visa.  

To compound things, my friend has never left Jamaica, and so does not have any favorable travel history to present.
