This struck me as a little odd, but as always TiT.

I was pricing some Thai domestic air fares. The route I was looking at was BKK-KKC (Khon Kaen). I looked at booking through Thai Air and Thai Smile. The Thai Smile price was 30% lower. I believe Thai Smile is owned by Thai Air and the prices were for seats on the same flight.

If I am not understanding something, please let me know.

Thai Smile is the LCC variant of Thai Airways, hence the pricing difference. The flight is probably operated by Thai Smile, where you get a croissant & a pouch of water for meal. The service, for short distance is good, nonetheless.
