Seasoned monger, done the Bangkok Phuket Pattaya trifecta many times.

Going to CM in June for first time.

Any BM's out there who can recommend guest houses/hotels around 2000 baht a night close to the action?

I'm open to gogo's, beer bars whatever.

Thanks Gents

For that price you will be able to get a nice place in the heart of the action.

If mongering is what you are after, than stay close to Loi Kroh road so you can walk everywhere.

It's a quiet scene but you can keep yourself busy for a week, no problems.

There's also a number of soapies around town if that's your thing.

I havent been around long, but Loi Kroh has some action and some decent girls.. Im just not that big of a beer bar girl... However, ive had some good luck with good girls on TF and thaicupid....

i have had quite a few women approach me at the night market, FLers im sure

i will certainly be getting better aquainted with the area,

I am here every other month, so let me know any specific questions

i have an awesome apartment that rents monthly for about 500 bucks.. its off airbnb and im just across the moat from Loi Kroh

Raming Lodge hotel is close to the action in Loi khroad   road. And is guest friendly to nice breakfast and have good resturant. And then you have night bazzar in hotel near nightbazar also nice hotel  and good breakfast, have many bars in that road to so plenty of fun.

Those who claim "no action" in Chiang Mai, either haven't been, or don't know where to look. It ain't Pattya, that is for sure, but there is fun to be had.

Going in June, you will miss the worst of the smoke, but the days can be real hot! For me, Chiang Mai is a wonderful place to visit towards the end of the year. Great weather. If it had an ocean, rather than a river, I would live there ahead of here.

As mentioned Raming Lodge is a decent choice for a hotel.... or alternatively, check out airbnb. Plenty of nice places to rent, well within your budget..

There are plenty of beer bars, with some more than acceptable ladies,  but there are only a couple of Go Go's, and they are pretty tame.

Enjoy your time there, it is a great city.

Chiang Mai is a great place.

Not the hardcore action of Pattaya but who needs that day after day anyway.

Fun to chill there for a few days.  More than enough bars to find the company of a good lady

The go go's are pretty tame and likely will never measure up to Patts for sure

There are a couple of soapy places.

Sayuri Entertainment Complex will be your best bet

Last time I was in town I stopped in at Celebrities.  They had a handful of girls and nothing worth taking.

Go spend a few days and just enjoy chilling out there

https://www.agoda.com/raming-lodge-hotel in Loi Kroh Road is only about 100 m from the moat and the old city walls. Turn right out of hotel, up the road there are several beer bars with the usual suspects. Turn left and walk about 300-400 m, you will find a beer bar complex with a Muay Thai boxing ring. Check rates on web site.

http://www.topnorthhotel.net (do not confuse with Top North guesthouse) is the other side of the moat and Thapae Gate. Cheaper than Raming Lodge. It has a 'new wing', the more expensive rooms - to be preferred.

Whole area has lots of cafes, restaurants, bars, shops. Not far to walk anywhere - check map.

Having just been there, there is an unbelievable amount of guesthouses and hotels up or going up these days.

Plenty of choices to be had.

I stayed in a nice place behind Thaphae Gate, about 5 minutes walk to Loi Kroh road, for 900 baht a night i think it was.

4 star quality.

What's the name of this hotel Coxy? Is it guest friendly?

Im having 2 nights in Chiangmai in June before heading to Pattaya & 900THB would suit my budget nicely if it's a decent place.

 Cheers.

P21 Chiang Mai hotel is how my records have it mate.

I know CM quite well so the location is fine for me, and all amenities are close by.

I didn't entertain while in that particular hotel but I would say yes, guest friendly, as most hotels in CM are.

The girls just need to leave their ID's at reception usually or they'll take a copy.

Thanks for the prompt reply mate.

Ive booked that now. Looks a decent place & I'm happy to take your recommendation on location. I know less than nothing about Chiangmai so I appreciate your input!  Price as you described too.

Many thanks.  :Bravo1:

Nice one!

I found the room to be nicely appointed for the price and staff to be friendly.

Thaphae Gate, which is in some ways the main focal point of the city for tourists, is very close by.

40 Baht a kilo laundry at the door as well as a nice little cafe.

7 and McDonald's a couple of minutes away and Loi Kroh Road about 5 minutes away, walking.

Enjoy!
