Golf bag fee with Qatar Airways from Europe to BKK ?

Anybody knows, how much is Qatar Airways fee (economy class) for golf bag?

I have suitcase (25 kg) and golf bag (23 kg). I know that in economy, i can have 30 kg luggage for free...

Yes, i have read Qatar Airways baggage fees, but it is not easy to understand (for me)....I tried to call Qatar Airways office, but nobody answered...

Any ideas?

The way I read the website, it would be US$40 per kg if booked online in advance or US$50 per kg if done at the airport. So, $720 or $900.

Roughly, £540 or £680.

It may be cheaper to buy a second ticket  or you could try to negotiate at the airport.

Yes, but it also says you can use your free allowance for sporting equipment and you should look at the ‘normal’ excess baggage rates if you are doing this.

I understand why the OP was confused, but I read it the way I posted above.

The allowance is 30kg and max size of 300cm which is the length+height+width as well need to measure the 2 bags.

Hello, I try to give a answer to my own question...

Today, Qatar Airways office of  Helsinki, called me (actually good customer service).

Answer was, if I have 25 kg suitcase and 23 kg golf bag, golf bag fee is 400 USD...After that, i forgot to ask, is it for just oneway??

You have a very large golf bag. I have travelled Qatar to Bangkok from London.

The golf bag can be included as part of your free allowance, or was when I flew

My bag, shoes, few balls and 12 clubs only came to 14kg, packed light and got away with a 16kg case and some extra in the 7.5kg hand luggage.

That will be one way, and you will get either get hammered in Bangkok on the return trip by a jobsworth or totally ignored by a check in agent who cant be bothered.

Everything is ok now. I bought a business class Hel-Doh-Bkk-Doh-Hel.

Ticket was only 1080 euros, Qatar Airways having a sale now from Finland.

You got a good deal there nice seat and no excess baggage.
