looking for a good hotel to study in

Yes you read the title correctly.

My plan is to hit 2 birds with one stone. I obvious would like to enjoy Pattayas cultural activities (Soi 6, Walking st., the usual stuff) but would like to study for an exam I've been wanting to write for the last year. My plan is to study 4 to 5 hrs per day from late morning to early afternoon then relax a bit and hit the various bars. I've been to Pats numerous times and didnt really have any hotel requirements other than joiner friendly and clean.

Can any of you and your hotel experience recall any quiet rooms that had a good desk or wasnt cramped to read in? I've been on Agoda now for the past hour without any success.

Looking forward in getting grilled from witty comments for coming to Pattaya for a month and "attempt" to study 5 hrs per day.

I stayed at Deep Blue Z10 for a few days on this last trip in a Seaview room, corner, on the top floor.

It was as quiet as I've had in Pattaya. I wouldn't say complete quiet but only 5 rooms on each floor, so much less noise from the maid and other rooms.

Desk was decent enough. I worked most of the day on my laptop

You can totally pull it off - my husband did on his last trip ... up early for "chat with the wife time/breakfast," listen to lectures, early afternoon massage, listen to lectures, nap, ST, dinner, nightlife ... I think your idea is splendid ...hopefully folks will have some quiet room suggestions for you ...

You should probably share your budget though :-)

You really need to give a budget.

A good guesthouse would suit as would the Hilton.

Baraquda rooms have a really nice desk and comfortable chair. And it's very quiet. Great internet too. A bit pricey at about ฿3000/night. But I think it's worth it.

Will wi-fi be a requirement?

Thanks for the interest. My budget would be below 2000 thb a day for 28 nights it adds up fast.

Yes internet is an absolute must.

I'm currently leaning towards Vogue hotel which has a bedroom and a living room.its a little off LK Metro so it should remove the afternoon temptations. http://voguepattaya.com/  the only draw back or concern I have is that its popular with the Russians which tend to be....

once again thanks for all your help for this unusual request.

I'm also heavily thinking about VT6.

I would say definitely not Vogue. Loud tour buses coming and going, Loud tour groups entering and exiting. Many better choices than that, well-under 2k baht per night.

Just curious: what are you going to study in Pattaya?

If you can’t stand the heat, get out of the kitchen.

Intimate hotel soi 14 2nd road, located on a cul de sac so no through traffic. Request a quiet room facing soi 14 as the beer bars nearby crank up live music in the evenings. For a month they should be able to do 2k a night for a month, contact them directly.

I'd avoid Vogue, I stayed in one of the Suites (Bedroom/living room) recently, it basically a reasonably large room divided in two to make a cramped bedroom and living area.

Also started charging joiner fees.

Ended up booking at VT6 through AirBnB. It fit my needs, very very quiet and had a large desk. I was able to stick to the plan and study during the day and relax a bit at night. Successfully achieved my goal and passed the exam.

Study in Pattaya , probably the worst place in the world to study with thousands of pussies moaning for yr cock ... 555 Good luck with your exams , try not think of them while doing the exams .. Somewhere in Jomtien or Pratumnak hill would be a perfect location to stay cos of quietness  .

I tried this

I did an online diploma in workplace health and safety

Didn't work out for me

Always something better to do I ended up doing it face to face back in Australia

Lost 800 oz $ on the course

I was distracted very easy

Intimate hotel For me as well. Little pool and gym they have is also good to de-stress if you need it. Just let them know your requirements. If they do you a month deal it would be perfect.
