Where is best place in BKK to get an Iphone 6 unlocked?

Am still in states but will be flying to BKK on 9/5 for 3-month Asian trip.  I decided this trip to finally make the switch from AT&T to T-Mobile and am getting the runaround from AT&T (to be expected) and they are fucking around and not unlocking my Iphone 6S.  I bought the phone directly from Apple, who will not help me, and T-Mobile cannot unlock my phone.  I get the feeling I will coming to Thailand with the cheap Samsung I use which is not worth a shit for trolling for ladies and with a locked Iphone 6S that can hold my T-mobile phone SIM that I currently have in the Samsung so that I have some minimal level of phone service.  Am looking for suggestions on where best place to go in BKK is to have the phone unlocked. I just want it unlocked, not jailbroken, so that I can put the T-Mobile SIM card in it and start getting free data and cheap calls and say "fuck you" to AT&T.  I will be staying on Soi 6 close to Nana so locations not far from there would be most appreciated. Have already thought of Pantip Plaza but if anyone can recommend a store inside there or a phone shop I would be grateful.  There are dozens of online ripoff companies and it costs $100 to unlock a phone here in the states at a private phone store but I've already been there and done that and they said they could not unlock a phone locked by AT&T.  Any  suggestions or recommendations?  Thanks in advance for any advice you can give me.

Fortune Mall is the place to go. I unlocked a IPhone 6 2 years ago but it costed me US$180.

Every year I stop at Fortune Mall to get the newest Samsung, second hand. So far I had Galaxy 5, 6 and 7 edge(US$280 last May) in absolutely perfect condition with 1 month guaranty. With the Samsnung's there is an option to check every single fonction/feature of the phone(dead pickel, touch-screen responsiveness  processor speed etc...) and you go through all of them with the shop owner before purchasing it.

MBK is nice but full of counterfeit and scam.

Just curious as I have to unlock an iPhone6, I can get it done at home for $50.

are you sure you paid $180 US?

I found a new Samsung in Cambodia, got it unlocked and wiped clean at MBK for 200 baht.

Yes it costed US$180 because apparently the guy had to modify something inside the phone or change a piece I don't remember exactly sorry.

The truth is that I try to lower the price but he refused and at the end I choose to buy a samsung S6 second hand instead.

Yes for sure, send me your address, or meet me in bkk, I arrive on Wednesday

if it is rectangular, takes pictures, makes phone calls and downloads porn, it is yours.

cannyou verify this?

i was going to wait to unlock my iPhone, glad I didn't, $180 US , wow.

I looked at the pictures, if your a biker from Austria we have a winner.

just send me a pm , I'll forward you my address, you can send some cash so I can mail it to you.

to be honest with you, and being the honest Canadian that I am, I contacted his father in law, ( thru his contacts on his phone) and set up a meeting with the owner to return his phone on his return flight in bkk.

our meeting didn't happen, hence my new phone.

true story.

There is a mall at the corner of Sukhumvit and soi 3 (Starbucks, Burger King are also there).  There are a couple of mobile shops inside that building.

Basically if you want to unlock it you will need to pay 2-3k Baht and need to wait 2-4 weeks depending on the network.

my suggestion is you go online and do it yourself before you leave the US it’s easy to do as long as the phone is not black listed. This is usually what the guys in Tukcom or MBK do anyway.

You used to be able to get a little sim holder that acted as some kind of adapter but I think these are less used nowadays probably due to the technology.

I used this website in the UK twice it worked ok I’m sure you have similar in the US. Be aware it will say £20 to check the phone can be unlocked then ask for another £30-50 depending on the locked network. Good luck

Legislation and rule changes within the FCC have made it easier than ever as long as the phone is paid for.

They have to unlock it For free

Have all you passwords and account info ready to go.

I’ve jut done mine , emailed my IMEI code off the phone to Vodafone . They then sent it to Apple who unlocked the phone with in 2 days .
Cost nothing but you have to have had the phone for over 3 months and not be behind on any bills .

I bought a PAYG iphone SE a few months back. ATT wouldn't unlock it. I sent the details off to doctorsim.com and it was unlocked in a few hours for < 20 bucks.
