Pattaya to Koh Samed

Would like to know which is the best option to go from Pattaya to Koh Samed?

Where to catcht the boat and its frequency?

get the bus from pattaya to ban phe. there is a small harbour there. then you get the boat. boats go very frequently. you get the your bus and boat ticket together return from any travel shop. its nvery cheap. they even sort rooms in the huts for you. different boats go to different beaches on koh samet.

Go to any travel agents in Patts and they will arrange the bus to pick you up and take you to Ban Phe and as Yiddo say its cheap to buy the bus and boat tickets.

I did it from Korat last time. Bus to rayong, sawngthaw from rayone to Ban Phe, cheap ferry over. Got the speed boat back. Ko Samet is really nice.

You should note that Koh Samet is a national park and you will be charged an entry fee. Last time I went it was 400 baht for foreigners and 40 baht for thais. You will usually pay this when you arrive on the island to the national park staff.
