It would be nice if that was the end of it all somehow I cant see it.

It would be ironic if the yellow shirts leave the airport only to be replaced by the red shirts.

If , as the missus suspects, that the majority of "protestors" are just paid cannon fodder in it only for the 500Baht a day payment. Then all that they need to do is just deliver the red shirts in a truck and then change them..!!!

Hope this will open the airports and be the start of something positive for Thailand.

What... service... may I do you? Hmmm? You know I demand payment.--- I brought payment. Look! BAM!! An undead monkey! Top that!

We have been down this road once already...a simple name change and the new party submits another PM candidate like Samak who will be approved my the "new" majority party MPs in the legislature. End result - the PAD will be right back in the streets shutting down the airports again. At most this probably buys us three months until the next snap election if we are very lucky...

I guess this is the "silent" coup everybody was waiting for. Now if the PM doesn't resign, the military has a legal excuse to move... Like everything else in LOS it's all about saving face...

Its also about ignoring a problem and hoping it goes away. Thais are pretty good at that.

We are always running for the thrill of it thrill of it

Always pushing up the hill searching for the thrill of it

On and on and on we are calling out and out again

Never looking down I’m just in awe of what’s in front of me.

Yep saving face is a big issue here.

I dont see any other way forward than this. They need that airport reopened as it is crippling the country. This is not a solution to the underlying issue but its needed ASAP for the average thai.

From what i've seen the PAD have certainly shot themselves in the foot as far as winning over people is concerned. I think there going to have a lot less support when this crisis is over. The only people they'll have left will be the people who they pay.

The PAD have now announced that they are not leaving the airports until the entire cabinet resign, not only those affected by the court verdict today....

So nothing has been accomplished yet...

No doubt the next election, if there is one will be held when I'm next in Thailand. And the Bars will be closed again, so everyone can vote, but all the shops, banks etc. Will be open!

When the new government is elected, the loosers won't accept the decicion and it can all start again. The military might run the place for a while too. AMAZING THAILAND.

There are now sources reporting that the PAD has now announced that it will "Allow" flights to re-commence... however it has been suggested that even if they disband their protest immediately, it will be 15th Dec before the airport fully reopens.

This is getting serious, if these fuckers get their way they could change things in LOS quite a bit. The Bangkok "Elite" look down their noses at the likes of us addicts, and they don't like us being in their country.

@ Esco, where did you see that? The reason I ask, is that I'm worried about sending a package to LOS right now and whether or not it will even arrive in the country. I'm wondering if the freighter flight is all shipping and postal lines.

Thats not the case mate. They want the government gone and will use any means necessary. They've treated the stranded tourists pretty well considering the circumstances

What happens if they install a puppet government, and decide that they want to change Thailand's image abroad and make things difficult for sex tourists.
