Crocodile Farm

Recommended Posts

I made the most of my day off yesterday and went to Crocodile Farm. I highly recommended this park for a visit while you are on holiday here. You can get tickets via most Tour operators.

For a small entrance fee of 400 baht, you the chance to feed the crocodiles have and have your photos taken with them and other animals such as Elephants, Tiger or a Bear. (Additional small fee required). They also have a show every 1 hour (I think), and some man will play with the crocodiles.

If you are here with the family – it great for the kids. You can also feed the elephants and they kiss you back for feeding them!

I personally loved spending the 2 or 3 hours feeding the chickens to the crocodiles. I wish I could of taken one home with me!!!!!

I was there before and I enjoyed feeding the crocs. It felt kinda strange being so close to them, I kept thinking how many seconds would I last if I had fell in. A good place to pass a few hours.

Glad you had a good time buddy.

On the contrary DO NOT GO TO THE CROCODILE / SNAKE FARM IN BANGKOK. I went there and the welfare of the animals was absolutely horrendous, so bad I felt physically sick.

Just try the open zoo north of the Tiger farm on the BKK highway

Nice white tigers, lots of other animal, quiet djungle setting, and not such a rip off. If you dont have transport, bus to Sri Racha and then on with tuktuk.

I like elephants. It never ceases to amaze me how such large critters can be so docile around humans.... 99.999% of the time. Lets face it, if we pissed them off how hard would it be to wrap it's trunk around you and use you as a battering ram to soften the concrete!

Feeding the crocs is a lot of fun. I got some funny video because you re standing there, wondering if its going to chomp down on it, then all of a sudden it jumps up and snaps down on it and everyone goes 'oh shit'

Watch out for scams in LOS !! The biggest one is, when you come to Thailand "your in pocket", when you leave you've been sucked dry!

Plan on about 4 hours there, they have some nice gardens. It's 20 minutes from central Pattaya by bike.

My Girl use to work in a Crocodile farm in Bangkok, :P She use to be the marksman to shoot them if one got any of the workers, And i know this to be true , she also used to clean the police guns. I dont leave guns about or let her go anywere near one.

I've been there too, quite a good day out.

It's worth going just to feed the crocs with the chicken on the poles, that was ace!

I couldn't believe how quick they move out the water, you wouldn't last more than a couple of seconds if you fell in.

If you want something done properly, do it yourself..

What I found very interesting about the Crocodiles is that they never move.....they will leave their mouths wide open for an hour!....they are

very sedentary in their dalily life :GoldenSmile1:
