Forty years after Europe Thailand has discovered the existence of seat belts in a car, even for passengers.

Yesterday, on Sukhumvit Road near Banglamung police station, some dozens of policemen were blocking traffic and checking if people in the passenger seat had fastened their seat belt.

I always put my seatbelt on where there is that option in a car anyway.

It's saved my life more than once already.
