Etihad flight change... computer says NO

I had to change my ticket due to the problems I am having in England.

 

I rang up expedia and COMPUTER says No....

 

I rang up etihad uk... and Computer says No

 

 

So i sent an email to the complaints department at the headquarters asking for a bend in the rules.. No reply

 

 

After several more phone calls to London and no budge... I phoned Etihad headquarters i n Abu Ahabi...

 

Finally I got a result.. £200 to change return flight, it was worth the chase, because I was looking at 391 pounds for return!!

 

 

Their reason was because my tickets were non changeable due to being promotion tickets or something strange and its not covered in the "fair rules policy"

 

So I guess, it was my fault for not reading the T&C before purchase.

ive had a few problems similar to yours & as usually the case, my tickets were promo so make sure to read the small print!!!

Same problem with me for Eva Airlines.

 

Promotional price = no changes allowed

That goes for many airlines I think. The cheapest tickets are usually non-refundable and have a change fee. For United, $100 - $200 per.
