Professional photographers and alike use the NEX-7 as their goto travel camera when the big DSLR is too big to use and the A7 too expensive.

 

The sensor in this camera is the APS-C or DX. Basically the same sensor size as the Nikon D7200.

A true professional camera with also a superb AI to shoot automatic for the lazy ones.

 

- Triple dial (separate controls for ISO, Aperture and Shutter speed makes composition very easy)
- RAW+JPG for the ones working in Adobe Lightroom
- 24.3 megapixel C-Sensor which in comparison is 40% larger than the 1.5" sensor commonly seen everywhere in compacts.
- Flip display that can be viewed up or down, meaning shooting from low or with straight arms is very easy
- The automatic mode is the best I have used in ANY camera and is competitive to many of your manual settings but with 0,1sec delay

 

ONLY 1360 pictures taken. Bought in Sweden. Display has a "tinted" bordered visible only when camera is turned off. This has no practical difference when shooting. This is a "residue" from the display protective film. Other than this cosmetic flaw - camera is in pristine condition.

I'd say the closest comparison is the A6300, which is around 26K. A budget version is the A5000-series which has the same sensor but with a significantly slower CPU, no EVF, no raw, half the display resolution and only basic video function.
