Basic question LK Mansion

So i may be spending a few nights in LK mansion and have a pretty basic question, with the uncertainty of what will be playing on the tv with recent events and restrictions on entertainment programes etc, from what i have read on here most stations are playing around the clock news, seems there is no dvd player in the room i am looking at, so i am currently putting some movies onto some nano usb drives, anyone have experience watching movies through connected usb drives at lk mansion or any other lk properties? i understand the concept of plug and play and am converting files to avi to ensure they are playable, just wondering if this will work on there sets, buying a chrome cast or any other playback device is currently not an option i am on a limited budget and can not afford to buy any extra equipment.
