Man caught stealing car battery at Water Station.

The price of Car batteries has dramatically increased in the last few months. A battery for a pick-up used to cost around 1,700 Baht. The same battery could now cost you twice as much. This has led some to steal car batteries rather than purchase them in a shop. This is one such case from the Water Station in Soi Nongprue. Security Guards alerted Police in the early hours of Monday Morning that they had detained a man suspected of the attempted theft of a Car Battery from a blue Mitsubishi 6-wheel truck. Police arrived and detained Khun Cherchai aged 26 who confessed to the theft and intended to re-sell the battery to a friend.
