Prawat wins Thailand’s first Paralympic gold

Veteran wheelchair racer Prawat Wahoram captured all Thai hearts on Sunday when he landed the Thailand’s first gold in Rio Paralympic Games with a fine time of 11 minutes, 01.71 seconds in the men’s 5,000m (T54 class), leaving Swiss Marcel Hug and Australian Kurt Fearnley to take silver and bronze medals in 11.02.04 and 11.02.37 minutes respectively
