Transfer time in TPE

Hi Everyone,

 

Wondering if anyone can comment on transfer times in Taipei (TPE). I have 70 minutes between my scheduled arrival time and the following departure time. I don't think it is going to be enough time.

 

I'm using EVA out of SFO and then switching to China Airlines at TPE. I have to move from terminal 2 to terminal 1.

 

Last year I used China Airlines all the way through- 1st trip to Thailand. It took me about an hour to get to the next gate last time and I wasn't switching airlines or terminals.

 

I'm thinking about switching to another flight. Hoping to get some feedback before I part with the cash.

An hour and 10 minutes sounds like plenty, especially if you've already been through that airport. You connecting will begin boarding about 45 minutes before departure, but the gate will not close until about 15 minutes before departure.

 

If you're really worried, you can stop at any of the gates that are servicing China Airlines and have them notify your gate that you are on your way. Unless your flight is delayed, I don't see you missing your flight.

I do it Often. You will have plenty of time. The transfer between terminals is a very short ride (less than one minute).

You will probly have enough time to grab a smoke in the worst smoking roon known to man. Buy smokes in the duty free and still make your flight. The shorter the time spent in lay over the better! Always someone around to help in

TPE if you need it just show your boarding pass or ticket! Have a great time!
