New type of skimmer .seems malware made , can be long time "sleeping / skimming ".... after they insert a special card and they start collecting data ..Nothing to see on the ATM machine

You missed the part where they have to have access to the machine in the first place, in order to install the software. Not easily done. It's not just inserting a special card.

just repeating the way they explain , I am not an expert , others I would not sit here (......anymore ...   ...) I think they shall not detailed explain the working order or copy cats would be plenty ...  .hence the "special card " explanation ...

Copy/Paste from Police ...Police know the identity of five gang members and there is CCTV footage of the gang in action, reported Thairath. They introduced malware with electronic cards to Omsin ATMs in several provinces. The machines then spewed out cash and losses are at least 12 million baht.

 

Just informing what a virus expert company published about it , this in combination with the GSB  ATM robbery
