Go to the Kawasaki Big Bike shop on Sukhumvit Road (east side), it is located between Pattaya Klang and South Pattaya Road

Should be getting one next week 

Any idea whether insurance is compulsory (3rd party or fully comp) and where to get the best deal?

compulsory insurance does not cover much at all, just 3rd party medical bills up to about 20k baht

 

If you want 1st class fully comp ask them at the kawasaki shop, they will have a company to contact, or go to AA insurance (in side road opposite big C south pattaya)
