Recent BIB activity outside DS Bars?

I have just received advice from a friend living on the DS me to be very cautious when visiting bars over there. It would appear that some BIB are targeting farangs as they leave some DS bars. Apparently they are looking at the guys who visit the bars in the afternoons and early evening in the popular roads(Khal Moi, Katalo, etc. They follow them, pull them over and the usual interrogation takes place. On recent trips over there I have not observed any unusal BIB presence but I may have just been lucky. Can any BMs shed some light on the. Any noticeable increase in BIB patrols. Any less than positive experience you care to share. THX

I know the BIB has hit pacha a lot over the last few months and more recently, wanting money and drug testing the girls .and carting some of them to soi 9. not sure why they are hitting this bar so often, but it would make me wanna say fuck it and close.  hard work with this lot trying to extort money all the time

Out a few times a week in these bars in the afternoon but not noticed anything different from the usual .

Living on the DS and make my rounds to the bars many times.  There are occasional police check points in the evening but they stopping anyone not just farangs.

 

As for police following someone and then pulling them over I have never heard or seen that before.

I read something about cops doing a stop and frisk on farangs looking for drugs or weapons. Do they pull the "look what we have here" bullshit like the cops in the Philippines and pull out a little bag of yaba and then want to escort you to the ATM for your daily max or threaten you with jail time? I hate that shit but have been told that if it happens just take the fucking and pay up or they will tamper your blood sample and make it positive and it will be a very long and expensive effort to get released. I have been to THailand a half dozen times previously but am a little more worried about it now that I have responsibilities back home.
