budha days in patong beach

first visit to Phuket,arrive 18th july,found out 19th and 20th are public holidays.will i be able to get a drink on these days in Patong beach.i have been to pattaya on these days and managed to find somewhere open,is Patong different.

Kings B'day they have a complete shutdown , so for these days will be same .... hotels and restaurants will still be serving , just no bars / discos open ... good opportunity to get up early and do some sightseeing
