What about Thai culture or history has changed you as a person?

Recommended Posts

It is one thing to know intellectually that sex isn't sinful, it's quite different to be surrounded by a whole country which does not treat it that way. Personally I no longer consider sex to be a big deal and find myself smirking a bit as I consume Western media and the strange sexual mores that come with it.

In the balance between competence and kindness I lean slightly more towards being a kinder person. Overall I'm still on the rational side though.

Life really, really isn't about what you've managed to acquire. Again another thing I understand better through experience. I don't even have a car anymore and my life has improved because of it. In America you could never think of such a thing. To be fair, America is built differently and being carless is probably a significant burden.

What about Thailand, its culture or history has shaped you as a person, or changed your innermost beliefs about life in general?
