Man shot in pre-meditated incident on the South Pattaya Road.

 

Just after 6pm on Tuesday Evening, Police Colonel Nopadon, the Chief of Pattaya Police responded to a call regarding a shooting which had just taken place on the South Pattaya Road. The Colonel along with rescue workers rushed to the scene and rescue workers attended to the victim of the shooting, Khun Chaiya aged 21. He had sustained 3 gun shots to his left arm, and lower back. He was rushed to Hospital in a serious condition and is currently on a life support machine. Witnesses saw a man and woman on a motorbike pull up behind the victim who was ona further bike. The male driver produced a gun and shot at the victim in what appeared to be a pre-meditated act. Khun Chaiya is a known repeat offender and had been released form Prison on Bail, three days before the shooting relating to drug possession charges. He also mentioned to investigators at that time that he was concerned over a long running conflict with a gang of men involved in illegal drug distribution around Pattaya. Police are convinced the shooting relates to his involvement in illegal drugs and are basing their investigation on this assumption as they search for the shooter.
