This is a description my friend wrote about a place near the new airport he stayed at when he had an 8 hour lay over. He described it so well I thought I'd post it.

Just remember to print the map on the website. It's in Thai and in

English. You can give it to the taxi driver so he will know where to go.

It's about 15 minutes away and it cost me 300 baht although I believe the

correct price is 200 baht. The hotel can also provide a driver for 500

baht.

 

The place is nice for what you pay. They have everything a 5 star hotel

has but a very basic level. They have a gym, swimming pool, and spa (

massage services. ). Basic but clean. They have a in-house restaurant

which the food is good. I felt completely safe there. I walked out at

night and the scariest thing was the rampant yard dogs looking at you as

if you were steak. They owners are nice too even though they forgot to

pick me up at the airport

thanks for that, i have decided when i leave my hotel on the 1st january that i will move to somewhere nearer bangkok airport for the night

to catch my flight a 1.20pm on the 2nd january.

 

need to look around and see what is near that hotel for a nights entertainment, had thought about the novotel about 19kms from the airport.

Have stayed at The Sananwan on about 6 differant occations.For me its the best and most friendly family run place about.Its not luxus but for a day its very good and cheap.
