Does anyone know if Tukcom can downgrade a PS3?

I have a PS3 which up until a few days ago was running custom firmware (allows you to download apps, play games off the harddrive, bypass copy restrictions etc).

 

I rather stupidly updated to a new version of it without realising I had left a CD in the drive which meant it accidentally installed the official Sony firmware instead. Bye bye all of my customised apps and games I've downloaded... :SteamingMad: .

 

Without going into detail it's currently impossible to downgrade back to a customised firmware without using a hardware flasher and soldering your PS3, something I'm not confident about doing.

 

Was wondering if anyone knew if there's a place in Tukcom that can do this, I'm over quite soon and could work out quite nicely.

Two places that I buy games from on the fourth floor both have resident techs working there. One of them, DDay Games, has a tall assistant who speaks good english. They have updated my Xbox in the past so I am sure they could help you.

Thanks. Yeah I might just bring it along and see if they can do anything. It's more if they'll have the hardware required to do it, but I can try.
