RENNES, France - A man who was left brain-dead after suffering serious side-effects during a drugs trial in France died on Sunday, according to the hospital which had been treating him.

It is not as simple as that. If it wasn't for these trials a lot more people would die as a result of not enough testing or the non-availability of the drugs.
