Drop in rice output

Thailand will reduce rice production to 25 million tonnes of paddy a year, from a current of about 31 million to 32 million tonnes to ensure stable rice price in the world market, according to the Commerce Ministry’s meeting with related government’s agencies and private enterprises, Chutima Bunyapraphasara, permanent-secretary to the ministry, said.
