What can a guy do with an extra 400 baht (per $100us) in Pattaya these days, compared to the Spring of this year (30%).

400bht can get me........

Pay barfine,

4 more beers,

Average dinner,

...............ST,

Two pairs of shoes for Teeruk which equates to a renewed interest and extra energy for the night.

Gotta love Pattaya.

Let's just hope it stays like that for a few more days! It's been steadily going up for the past 5-6 months now. I'm counting on a 34:1 to keep me going for the next week!

When is it my turn in the barrel?

Thankfully I get paid in US and maintain US accounts. Keep it rolling I say............

But....if things keep going the way they seem to be, the only ones with money will be the BG"s that managed to hold onto the gold we (Farangs) bought them over the years.

The tables may turn.

Just imagine one of them slapping you on the ass and telling you to 'grab her another beer'? Or `get down there and start licking or I want my BF back'? How about 'grab that chrome pole, show me your ass and maybe I"ll buy you a drink'?

Shudder to think about it.

Last August I was getting just over 32 Baht to the Aussie dollar. Today the rate is 24, Hope it goes back up before next July, or it might have to be Cambodia.

Last August, the exchange on the US dollar, was about the same as it is now. Just think back to what it was like for the guys in 2006 when they had $1 trading at 43 baht lol. If I seen that day again, I would about crap myself.

Man i already booked my trip for november...............lol.

It's just a bit of a bummer to watch the exchange rate crashing and burning!!

Still this trip i'm going to open a bank account in bkk so when this happens again i can send money over when the rate is high like it was earlier this year, give me a bit of help for the next trip.

Wish i had shitloads of money and not have to worry about this stuff but unfortunately that is not the case.................lol.

I just got back and the highest rate I got was 33.90, and that was out of the ATM as well.

Hopefully the exchange rate will still be around 33-34 by the time March comes rolling along. Please don't tank USD!

a few months ago I was exchanging $200US and getting back less than 6,200 baht. that was when the USD was at it's nadir. it was pretty bleak for us yanks at the time. I was roughing it one more than one occasion.

I truly believe the current appreciation of the USD will continue in the months and years to come. it has been excessively weak and undervalued for way too long and is ready for a serious recovery.

I'm awaiting the day when I can get 40 baht to the dollar. it will be a nice day. :GoldenSmile1:

I hope so. There was another BM who said exchange rates are historically inflated (due to 97 currency crisis). Western currency bought much less Baht prior to that. Oh please, stay inflated during my lifetime!! :ThankGod1::Cross_Fingers:
