Passport for Thai GF

Hi, if your TGF hasn't got a passport and you want to take her on a short trip to a neighbouring country eg Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Malaysia etc, how does she get a passport and how long does it take to get?

 

What paperwork will she need to submit to get one?

cost is just over 1000 Baht and location of passport office is in the Avenue shopping ground floor. Get their first thing in the morning and get a ticket and wait to be called while she fills in application form. It took two weeks for my TGF to get hers but was sent by post to her village so cannot comment on if she get one quickly? Paperwork was a Thai id card if i remember?

When she apply for passport, she can choose to have it by mail or she can go to bangkok to get it the next day. The quick solution is a bit more expensive.

 

Remember that if she is under 20 years old her parent(s) must go with her to passport office, but she can go to Bangkok to pick it up by herself.

GF went to Avenue Shopping mall office there. Took a bit more than 2 hours mostly waiting for number to be called. One thousand baht and they mailed it to her Pattaya address a week later.
