BBC iPlayer coming to AppleTV late in the year

They've already announced a Netflix-like service for the US, and now this: 
 

The BBC has confirmed that its iPlayer service is coming to the new Apple TV.


The catch-up app is not ready to launch alongside the revamped set top box when it goes on sale this week, but the broadcaster signalled it would be soon.

 

I think the fact 2 blokes knocked-up a iPlayer replacement app in just 6 hours and released the source online pretty much swayed them for good. Either open it up to the market or expect to be stolen from. 

 

So - with any luck we can get a direct fix of BBC soon!
