The Coins Restaurant - My New Goto Breakfast Place

I had breakfast in The Coins this morning and was very impressed. I opted for the 105 baht English brekkie which was enough for me but some bigger eaters may want the 145 baht one.

 

Couldn't fault it at all and the bacon was particularly good. There were also a good selection of UK newspapers available.

 

The restaurant is next door to Maleez hotel on Soi Bua Khao and close to Sutus Court hotel.

The coins is owned by Allan who used to be over the road at 18 Coins.

Had many a good feed at both places.

I thought the breakfast was very poor

Eat here a lot with their daily specials. Would recommend also. Not a huge fan of their breakfasts but like the main meals.

I've tried many places over the years and each one has its merits but the Coins is ideal for me both for price, quantity and quality. I enjoyed the small breakfast at the Butchers Arms for 120 baht but I think the price has increased plus you don't get any orange or tea/coffee included.

I asked for all toast (no fried bread) it comes pre buttered with no marmalade.

2 eggs any style

Decent sausage

Great lean bacon

Baked beans or tomatoes

Orange juice and tea or coffee.

Strange it came pre buttered without marmalade. I had the larger one a couple days ago. The toast and marmalade were fine.

Think that is the big breakfast. Not a fan of fried bread either but I am sure you could just change it to toast.
