Hi there,

 

I am staying in Patts over Christmas and have booked a room at Flipper Lodge, Soi7. The booking was done by email but I have been asked to call to hotel once I have arrived in Bangkok, is ths normal? Obviously I will do this but it has me worried slightly as I don't want to turn up and find my room has been taken!

 

And whats the chances of finding a room in Patts over Christmas if it all goes wrong?

ya sometimes they ask you to call, have stayed many times at the Flipper....no problems ever, prob wouldn't hurt to reconfirm the reservation though....

Have stayed in Flipper Lodge 5-6 times,once when my luggage was missing on arrival at BKK i got to the hotel a couple of hours later than i had said i would on the booking.The receptionist said my room had been given away because i hadn't phoned.They made a big deal out of it but was soon sorted.If your flight is delayed give them a ring from the airport to avoid any hassle.
