Simon's Fish & Chips Jomtien - Thappraya Road

Recommended Posts

A friend treated me to the combo.

Small fish & chips and mushy peas followed by apple pie and ice cream for 219 baht.

Sorry, forgot to take photo of pie and had a forkful before taking picture of fish hence bit of pea in sauce :-)

Very nice indeed. No complaints. Crispy batter. Fish plenty big enough for me. Proper chips. Good mushy peas. Tartare sauce creamier and fewer capers than at home. Decent service.

Pretty standard Apple pie and ice cream. Not special but more than edible.

Recommended. Worth a visit. Will try again during my stay - especially as very close to VT7.

Not expecting cod or haddock but local fish.

Still tasty.

Dori seems to be used fairly common here

The rather messy red cross is roughly where it is.

It's a small open-fronted unit.

If coming from Pattaya, get off the baht bus just after it turns the corner heading to the beach.

The automatic location showed by the blue dot is me in VT7 :-)

I like it there, regular Cod and Chips is B205, I usually take away and crisp it up a bit more at home, fish is normally cooked to perfection, over cook cod and its like rubber

Ate there again tonight.

Regular Icelandic Cod & chips, comes with mushy peas and tartare sauce. 245 baht

Bread & butter extra.

Good, proper chips. Nice, flaky cod. Batter a little 'flatter' than I remember but nice enough.

Don't think I could manage the large as I struggled to finish this portion.

They still have the 'Special' with local fish and dessert.
