I would avoid mbk.... Lots of copies and price of genuine one won't vary much from place to place

 

Try powerbuy in central world. You should get a warranty too. I bought a decent Samsung there. No problems.

Not sure where you're flying in from, but from what I've seen over the years in Thailand it's as cheap if not cheaper to buy it at home. They're worldwide phones, so unless you're in the US and under AT&T's thumb, none of them should be locked against other sims. Since theres no benefit, I'd buy it before coming just to make sure I'm getting the real thing.
