My son is coming with me to Thailand then he is going on to Cambodia for 2 weeks, what does he need to do for the visa and how many days will he get , he plans to come back to Thailand after his 2 weeks are up? I am not up to date with all the new visa stuff.

What Jerry said, but with the option of saving a page in his Passport and some time in the queue with an e-Visa.

Arriving at Pochentong Airport can be somewhat of a kerfuffle for a Cambodian neophyte, so I'd recommend getting an e-visa ahead of time.

On arrival he just walks straight to the immigration desk with an e-visa sign. Do check the desks because not all are for an e-visa.

This avoids the mayhem for visas on arrival but costs an extra $7. Seven bucks well spent, especially for a first-timer.

Can obtain an e-visa for Cambodia here:  https://www.evisa.gov.kh/
